Dr. Stephen Perrone is a highly
skilled and experienced eye surgeon,
who offers his patients
outstanding yet affordable care. Trained to use the latest and best
equipment, Dr. Perrone has expertise in both LASIK eye surgery and
in the treatment of eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma.
His training and credentials are impressive as is his record of
successful procedures.
Dr. Perrone attended medical school at McGill
University in Montreal, Canada and earned his M.D. in 1981.
He then went on to complete an internship at North Shore University
Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York,
New York in 1982. From 1983-1985, he undertook a residency in ophthalmology
at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
After completing his education, Dr. Perrone
opened his private practice in Brooklyn and Queens. He
has been serving these communities since 1985. His practice specializes
in anterior diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma and surgery
of the anterior segment of the eye, including refractive surgery.
Dr. Perrone has been performing refractive surgery since 1985 and
has been performing laser refractive surgery (including LASIK) since
1994.
Because technology is so important in LASIK
eye surgery, Dr. Perrone uses the best equipment in his
office. Dr. Perrone is certified to operate the VISX Star S3 and
S4 lasers and the Hansatome and Moria microkeratomes. He is also
certified in the use of the Autonomous LADARVision, a small spot
laser that tracks the eye for better accuracy and results.
Throughout his career, Dr. Perrone has
shown exceptional care and concern for his patients. He
performs all preoperative examinations himself, working out of three
different locations. In addition, Dr. Perrone has maintained his
price of $1000 per eye since the beginning of the LASIK revolution,
because he believes in making better vision affordable for everyone.
